How does buying a gun online work in Oklahoma?
You pay for the firearm here and name a licensed FFL dealer in Oklahoma at checkout. We ship the gun to that dealer. You collect it there after completing ATF Form 4473 and passing the background check. We never ship a firearm to a home address.
Who runs the background check?
Your dealer, through the FBI’s NICS system. Oklahoma has no state agency in the middle and no separate state check. Most answers come back within minutes.
Is there a waiting period or a permit to purchase?
No to both. Oklahoma requires no purchase permit and sets no waiting period. If the check clears, the dealer can complete the transfer on the same visit. If NICS delays it, the dealer holds the firearm until it is resolved.
What do I bring to the dealer?
A valid government photo ID with your current address, the dealer’s transfer fee, and your order number. If the address on your ID is out of date, ask the dealer what supporting document they accept.
What does the dealer charge?
Each dealer sets their own transfer fee, commonly $20 to $50 in Oklahoma. Call before you order to confirm they accept shipped transfers and to ask the fee.
Do I need a carry license to buy a handgun?
No. Oklahoma has had permitless carry since November 1, 2019, and a license was never required to buy. The OSBI still issues Self-Defense Act licenses for people who want one. See our concealed carry guide.
Are AR-15s and standard-capacity magazines legal in Oklahoma?
Yes. Oklahoma has no magazine-capacity limit and no ban on any class of semi-automatic firearm, and cities cannot add their own rules (21 O.S. 1289.24). See the gun law overview.
Can ammunition ship to my house?
Yes. Ammunition, magazines, optics and parts ship to Oklahoma addresses directly. Ammunition travels by ground, and the carrier may ask for an adult signature.
How old do I have to be?
21 or older for handguns and handgun ammunition, 18 or older for rifles, shotguns and their ammunition. Those are the federal rules for licensed dealers.
How much is shipping, and how long does it take?
A flat $29.99 per order, free over $999. Most orders leave within 1–3 business days of payment and, for firearms, once we hold a copy of your dealer’s license. Items from partner warehouses can take 1–3 weeks, and we email you if so.
How do I pay?

Are the prices and stock accurate?
Both are checked again when you place the order. If anything changed, you see it before you pay.
Do you sell suppressors, SBRs or other NFA items?
No. They are legal to own in Oklahoma with federal approval, but we don’t handle NFA transfers, so they aren’t listed.
Can I return a firearm?
Before it is transferred to you, yes: contact us and tell the dealer not to complete the transfer. After the transfer a firearm can’t be returned for a refund, though the manufacturer’s warranty applies. The returns policy has the details.
Do you have a store I can visit?
No. We are online only. The in-person part of the purchase happens at the FFL dealer you choose.
